Okey Samuel Mbonu

For President of Nigeria

REFORM WE CAN BELIEVE IN

The Thieves must Go, for Nigeria to Grow!

Can Nigerian families trust any Nigerian politician? Do Nigerian politicians even know what ethics are? As a Nigerian living in the United States I can bring a unique perspective to the office of the President - I have lived my life in a culture where ethical behavior is expected - one not marred by obscene and systemic corruption. I will implement a zero-tolerance policy for government corruption within the first year of my administration and set a new tone for the behavior of politicians and government employees. When the corruption is gone, NIGERIA WILL RISE!

THE POOR ARE A PRODUCT OF NIGERIA'S MASSIVE CORRUPTION

To alleviate the high level of corruption in Nigeria, the first step is for Nigerians to realize that no political elite, government institution, or president can effectively curb corruption alone unless the average Nigerian participates. We cannot eliminate corruption if we accept corruption. This means CHANGING the mindset of Nigerians and dislodging the Nigerian acceptance of corruption.

THE GREED AND INHUMANITY OF OUR GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS LIMITS THE OPPORTUNITIES FOR NIGERIANS TO FOLLOW THEIR DREAMS OF BEING MORE PROSPEROUS. WE NEED TO POINT THE FINGER AT THE THIEVES IN OFFICE FOR THE POOR STATE OF THE NIGERIAN ECONOMY. WE MUST CHANGE BEHAVIORS, CHANGE THE WAY WE DO BUSINESS, AND HAVE A ZERO-TOLERANCE-POLICY FOR CORRUPTION.

NIGERIA HOLDS GREAT POTENTIAL

THE MOMENT THAT NIGERIANS STOP ACCEPTING CORRUPTION, IS THE MOMENT THAT NIGERIA WILL RISE UP AND BECOME A WORLD POWER. DO YOUR PART AND SIGN UP TO VOLUNTEER TO HELP THE MBONU CAMPAIGN.

When theft by government officials and employees is under control - opportunities for Nigerians will expand and flourish. The middle-class can greatly expand and thrive with billions not being stolen from them. For our infrastructure to grow and provide opportunities - the wealth of the common Nigerian must grow. We can accomplish this by insisting on ethics laws that are strict and enforced.

INFLATION

The Mbonu administration will work to create a new digital/printed currency based on productivity. The value of the currency will be determined by the productivity of Nigerians in a transparent manner. This currency will compete against the Naira in an open and free market to keep the Naira honest.

The Waddi currency will bypass the corruption of the Nigerian Central Bank and be used as a check and balance to keep inflation from corruption low. Good money will push out bad money and Nigerians can steal back their wealth.

RELIGIOUS FREEDOM

On day one, the Mbonu administration will not tolerate ANY RELIGIOUS PERSECUTION. Religious freedom benefits both Christian and Muslims, as well as all other religions. Peaceful relations between religions will heal our country, will usher in prosperity, will provide the safety needed to pursue a greater relationship with God and family. Religious freedom will allow Nigerians to pursue science, the arts, and a better understanding of the world.

SAFETY AND SECURITY

Boko Haram and the Fulani Herdsmen activities and behavior cannot be condoned nor tolerated for one more instance. I will work with special operation professionals to develop an international bounty program that will reward international bounty hunters for a "dead or alive" bounty program. Under my administration we will also increase our intelligence apparatus to prevent such occurrences from happening in the future with persistent surveillance systems and an expansion of covert intelligence operatives.

HONOR THY MOTHER

NIGERIANS MUST PROTECT THE MOST VULNERABLE IN SOCIETY. EVERY TRULY GREAT CIVILIZATION HAS PLACED WOMEN ON A PEDESTAL TO PROTECT THEM FROM VIOLENCE AND FROM THE DEMEANING VULGARITIES OF THE MINDS OF MEN. WHEN WOMEN ARE RESPECTED - MEN BECOME BETTER PEOPLE, FAMILIES FLOURISH, AND SOCIETY BENEFITS.

EQUAL RIGHTS

One step to restoring pride in Nigeria is to go beyond the basic rights that are provided to our women. Societies work best when the laws and treatment of individuals is equal. There is more incentive for individuals to participate in society when treated equally. We are stronger as a nation when women are treated equally in society. We must allow and create more opportunities for women to lead. When women become leaders, they bring skills, different perspectives, and life experiences which can drive effective solutions that men may never concieve. With different perspectives and greater diversity more solutions can be realized more quickly. Nondiscrimination in employment, equal pay for equal work, and stringent sexual harassment laws are needed to provide a safe atmosphere for women to work. This will allow families the safety and security that is needed to pursue their ambitions unimpeded by discrimination.”...
